How does IoT work?

  • 1. Collect Data

    First the device or sensor collect the data. Like something as simple as the temperature of you home.

    Second, it needs to be transmitted via some Bandwidth medium using gateways in the interconnected world to begin its journey to the Cloud.

    Third, the IoT platform must process it.

  • 4. Notifications

    Fourth, the data is deemed useful for the end-use via alerts to text, email, or some other notification.

  • 5. Data Analysis

    Fifth, Data Analysis and Use for Prediction utilizes the data collected over time so better decisions can be made from it.
